关于峰会

The 2024年有色人种领袖峰会 will include conversation around this year’s theme:    

卓越之年:迎难而上   

这次峰会 will bring together collegiate students of color to explore topics related to the theme, provide access to information that fosters 领导 skills while provoking conversations that support the students to persist in their academic journey.   

此次峰会将持续一整天, 由主讲人组成, 小组讨论, 研讨会, 以及社交机会. The keynote speakers will be experts in their respective fields and will provide insights and inspiration to attendees. Panel discussions will allow for in-depth exploration of important topics, while 研讨会 will provide practical skills and strategies. Networking opportunities will allow attendees to connect with peers and professionals and explore potential career paths. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the event.

这次峰会 welcomes all students to participate in program activities. 然而, all programming and activities will be geared towards issues impacting male-identified students of color including those who identify as African American, 拉丁美洲裔, 印第安人, 亚洲, 太平洋岛民, 混合种族. Attendees should have an interest in exploring important topics related to their identity, 健康和福利, 个人发展, 职业探索.

第一代奖学金

星期五前登记, April 12th to enter for a chance to win one of five (5), 一次性1000美元奖学金. This applies to first-generation students, to be eligible to qualify for the scholarship you must:

• Enrolled in at least 6 credits this spring semester
• 是否已完成FAFSA/CASFA档案
• All scholarships will be presented during the summit, and recipients must be in attendance to receive the scholarship

As Metropolitan State University of 丹佛 (密歇根州立大学丹佛) continues its commitment to retaining, 支持, 以及即将毕业的有色人种男性学生, the Brother-to-Brother Program is set to organize the University’s first 有色人种领袖峰会.  

这次峰会, known as the Collegiate 有色人种领袖峰会, strives to establish a secure and inclusive environment where collegiate men of color can convene to delve into crucial topics affecting their lives. 这些包括健康和保健, 社会刻板印象, 领导, 在他们的学术旅程中坚持不懈.  

While 密歇根州立大学丹佛 is attentive to retention and graduation rates for all students, there is a particular focus on addressing concerns related to the degree attainment of Black/African American and Latino American men.
